For most of us who doesn’t know, Windows Live Essentials brought us Microsoft Windows Live Messenger, Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photo Gallery, but most important of all, Windows Live Mail which was a perfect solution to those who missed out on Windows XP’s Outlook Express or Outlook. Offering a great range of features, Windows Live Mail is one of the most used mail clients.
Windows Live Mail is getting older by the day and its getting old to the point where its loosing touch with whats going on today and Microsoft have just announced that any email account that uses the @live, @msn, @hotmail or @outlook will no longer receive emails due to an upgrade to their services and systems. Microsoft have released an update to this to resolve this issue however, it begs the question, is it really time to upgrade?
Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 (which Windows 7 & 8.1 users can upgrade too) features Mail or Outlook already installed which works great, it serves a great purpose in sending and receiving emails as well as managing contacts but most importantly, if you use a Microsoft account for your emails, your contacts and everything is backed up constantly.
